Position Summary:

The Shipping Supervisor will assist the Operations Manager in overseeing shipping activities and personnel to ensure that products are properly loaded for delivery.

• Basic understanding of records, inventories, and other routine documentation used

Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent is required
• 3 - 4 years previous warehouse or shipping experience is highly preferred

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Ensures product handling and delivery practices meet customer expectations
• Monitors freight movement using various computer software applications
• Conducts daily inspections
• Assess efficiency and performance of shipping activities
• Enforces operating instructions and safety policies
• Escalates team issue or conflicts when necessary to management or human resources
• Covers for Operations Manager during absences
• Assist in inventory count and allocate space for stock
• Performs other duties as assigned

Working Conditions and Physical Requirements:

• Work is usually performed in a warehouse and manufacturing environment
• Physical demands of the position are sitting, walking, and lifting
• Capable of lifting a minimum of 25 lbs at one time
