The Operations Manager oversees and optimizes an organization's daily activities to ensure efficiency, productivity, quality, and alignment with business goals. This position has supervisory responsibilities, including developing operational strategies and analyzing performance data to identify areas for improvement and increase profitability. This position will hire and train employees; organize, direct, and oversee employees' schedules and work; provide constructive and timely performance evaluations; and handle employee discipline and termination in accordance with company policies, in collaboration with Human Resources.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Manage the day-to-day functioning of departments to ensure smooth and efficient operations.
Develop and implement operational strategies to improve processes, reduce costs, and achieve organizational goals.
Oversee the allocation and management of resources, including personnel, budget, and materials, to meet operational needs efficiently.
Analyze and improve workflows to increase productivity, minimize waste, and enhance overall performance.
Ensure that the company's products or services meet or exceed established quality standards and customer expectations.
Hire, train, and supervise employees, monitor performance, and foster a motivated and capable workforce.
Liaise and coordinate with other departments (e.g., finance, marketing, HR) to achieve cohesive business objectives.
Manage operational budgets, track expenses, and collaborate with the finance team to control costs and maximize profitability.
Ensure adherence to company policies, safety regulations, and relevant industry standards.
Track key performance indicators (KPIs) and other data to assess operational efficiency and implement corrective actions when necessary.
Ensures compliance with federal, state, local, and company laws and regulations, guidelines, and best practices, including those related to safety and health.
Collaborate with EHS Manager to develop and implement procedures and strategies to ensure a safe work environment.
At least 51% or more of their time is spent actively managing employees and participating in management meetings.
Directs the activities of Supervisory staff members or multiple departments.
Performs other duties as assigned.

Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:
An Associate’s degree in a related field, or equivalent industry work experience, is required.
A Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Management, Business, or a related field is preferred.
A minimum of five years of manufacturing management experience.
Six Sigma Black Belt highly preferred.
