Inventory Control Clerk

We seek a highly motivated professional for the Inventory Control Clerk position. Martin Wheel is a growing manufacturer and importer of tires and wheel assemblies for Lawn and Garden, Agricultural, Industrial, and Trailer applications. Our products are sold to equipment manufacturers as well as through various aftermarket and e-commerce channels.

Position Summary:

The Inventory Control Clerk will manage the supplies and products coming in and out of the facility and keep accurate counts of stored items in the warehouse.

Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent is required
  • Data entry experience is highly preferred
  • Forklift experience is a plus

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required:

  • Excellent active listening, verbal, and written communication skills
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent mathematical and analytical skills
  • Ability to solve problems, work as a team or individually
  • Basic understanding of records, inventories, and other routine documentation used in production
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Maintaining accurate inventory records and updating inventory management software or systems
  • Investigate and diagnose any discrepancies between reported transfer amounts or locations and computer records
  • Conducting daily inventory checks and reconciling inventory discrepancies
  • Developing or improving upon inventory management procedures
  • Perform regular inventory audits to ensure accuracy of records
  • Performs other duties as assigned

Working Condition and Physical Requirements:

  • Work is normally performed in an office and/or warehouse environment
  • Physical demands of the position are sitting, standing, walking, and lifting
  • May require working in a variety of weather conditions and may involve exposure to dust, fumes, and other airborne particles
  • Must be able to lift 50 lbs at one time
